Image via WikipediaMy planned trip back east to the Mid-Atlantic region for next summer's 20th high school reunion has morphed a bit. Or should I say ballooned? Turns out my half brother is getting married at the end of June. In Wisconsin. So I don't want to go all the way over to Wisconsin, turn around and come home for a month and then go farther east at the end of July. So I'm strongly contemplating a massive 6-7 week trip. If I find enough people to stay with, I should have enough money to do it. We'd go through about 23 states on the trip. I've been to them all, my daughter has been to most of them, and my son about half.
We'd get to see parts of the country that I haven't seen in a long time and my kids haven't seen ever. We'd get to visit many friends and a few family members. We'd get to see historical sites. It would be great!
But it would be in the summer. Ick. Humidity and mosquitoes are not my friends. And I'd be the only adult most of the time. There's no way Ed can afford to take off of work for that long, assuming he even has a job by then. So the idea is a bit scary to me. Can I do it? I think I need a pep talk.
